Wash Happenin' Laundromat opened its door in 2005. Helen and Celia Feinsod are the founders and operators.  The name Wash Happenin' was suggested by my step brother, Will Feinsod, who lives in Florida. We were visiting back in 2004,  we loved the name and it stuck!

Our laundromat started out small.  We offered self serve or a wash and fold service. A few years later, Celia started ironing for customers which was on a normal ironing board. As the ironing grew, a 14'' press was bought.  Customers that wanted more than just a light starch, Celia would lay towels out, mixed up starch and sprayed the clothes down with a garden sprayer.  The clothes would turn out rough but people were ok.  Years later we purchased a starching machine which made life so much easier. Large commercial presses were bought 1 yr at a time.  Long story short, we have expanded our ironing space to accommodate our growing amount of customers. We now have 3 large presses, 1 shirt machine, a topper and a steamer for more delicate (wet cleaning) items.  Our plans are to continue to grow bigger and better than ever!  There is always room for improvement.

We hold ourselves to a very high standard.  As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning."
